Tommi, how did you acheive a decent finish with rattle cans? I'm going to have a go on mine this spring & just wondered the process you used?

It looks mean by the way

the finish isnt that great to be honest and its not very strong,
different colours seem to be easyer to spray than others. for example white is an absolute ass!!!!!!!! looks well patchy,

for the roof in black i used

sanded down the surface with 400 grit
then cleaned with water then panel wipe
then 1 can of zinc primer
then 1 can of matt black
then gloss black till you get an even finish (hardddd worrkkkkk)
then laquer

add laquer really slowly to start off with as if its too thick it wont ever dry.

one day i will get my car painted properly but for now rattle cans get the effect i want
the i like the way my car looks but im more interested in going sideways look

:)

oh and sorry this is tommi on my computer again :)

when i asked the guy to band them i only asked for a 2" band. when the returned to me they had a 4" band. i figured what the hell! it looks fricking awesome! vibrates a bit when it hits 55mph but smooths out at about 70 again.

need to get the fronts widened now to fill the arches a bit better but its gonna start getting hard to steer so thinking maybe time for a power rack :)

Looks good, I'd like to see the daylight pics.
You can also change the looks of your car more often when you use rattle cans. Not too much money is lost if you want another colour or pattern. Maybe use some acid in places for a rat race look ? :D Friends of mine have an E30 and they made the bonnet only rusty. Looks pretty cool 8)
