Sickest e21 built! great job propan.

Any pictures info of how you did the e46 m3 steering rack mod?
Planing to do somewhat the same thing, you used the lhd rack? Or rhd turned around?

Ohh :)

Yes, I was there from 6-11. For the OTGP and Touristenfahrten.

Had a fantastic weekend with many nice cars og good driving. This year I also managed to get myself and car home safe without any damage.... :cheers

I actually send a couple mail to some bmw clubs in Germany, no answer- I was hoping it was some kinda bmw meet in the area I could join in.

It was a bad year for E21 regarding the Oldtimer GP too, only two E21`s attending. No junior GR5 or nothing...I might be wrong thoo.

Both me and the car will be there next year Jeroen, maybe we meet then :thumbsup

Without damage, very important! Good to hear you had a great time and the event was wonderful again, indeed! I wrote a brief report on the event in the Events section.

The BMW Clubs meet there every year, traditionally a huge meet on Sat where abt 150 oldies turned up this year. No Sharknose Meeting figures but still! Usually Ralf at the 3er-Club is keen to welcome foreign participants but you need to apply beforehand otherwise the organization won't let you even enter the premises.

E21 track action was very limited indeed. One Group 2 320i that was entered in the DRM class that ran into issues during the first training session on Fr morning and didn't come back on the track for the rest of the weekend. Another Group 2 320i from FW-Motorsport that participated in the new Tourenwagen Revival class.

But that was it, no Group 5 cars this year. Usually Franz Ostermaier is there with the Jagermeister car, no entry from BMW either, and Charles Veillard is skipping a season. Veillard hopes to participate a full season again next year so if all goes well he's back next year, and so am I!

Ahh, I see. Maybe I look it up a bit earlier next year.
The FW-Motorsport 320i looked very good. Nice build indeed.

Hope to see more e21s next year then :)

Sorry,no pics of this I think.
Must have RHD when it is turned around when original LHD. Vise versa other way.
New angle on mounts need to be welded in and then a total reburb with new gaskets etc. And then plumbing etc need to be moved also.
It was a bit of work, but works nice :)

Long time ,no see......

Last season ended as it always should. No major problems,no crash and dents and everybody feeling good :)

It was not a busy year for e21 driving in 2015.
But still a pretty busy year for myself and my family.

8 years ago we build our house,4 years ago I build me a nice garage by the house.
3 years ago I also finally decided to build the e21 with all the mods and get it street legal.
May 2015 we decided to sell the big house, buy ourselves a new smaller house another place in the county and move.

OHH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. What the f*** do I do then..

The new house is really not that small, its from 2012, so it has better facilities than we had,but everything is a bit smaller.

But- The garage.... goosh. 36 square meteres of NOTHING I can use... Really! To low and too small....
The neighbors must think I am crazy. We moved in mid june, Mid july I sold the garage that was 1 year old-

To build a new on the lot we have to get some kind of permission from the nearest neighbors...

Awkward.... "Hello. I`m your new neighbor and want to tear down the new garage built last year on the lot and build a bigger one"

Here`s the garage. Not that bad for a regular garage and parking lot thou...

Image

But I actually had a workshop more than a garage in my old house.

So...

Love it!

The last meet I participated in 2015 was a local BMW meet.
Kinda small, but it become crazy cool.
Nice weather, nice cars, nice people. And they found out- hey, let`s do some drag racing!

Image

Cool!

The driver of this E46 M3 CSL was rather confused that a 78`323i actually was first to finish.... I lost in the end to a E46M3 ESS 575hp kinda of beast thou..
But all the e46/e36 m3`s was last to finish. So it was kinda cool. And also on my BBS RS with regular street tires. Not the R888 trackday Rota`s.

So then-2015 finished good in the end.

And as we all know the winter is here in Norway now, we all know it`s that time of year to upgrade and do the small details... :banana

As we all know the e21 and it`s front system with the wishbone and the caster/stabilizor it is not like the BMW E90....
On track I have a rather big problem with the car always want to understeer in the bigger corners. Not just because of the bigger engine.
But I have mounted a 29mm stabilizor in front. and with the custom coilovers it is waaay tooo stiff...

So I kinda thought I just mount a original one and problem should be smaller.

2 days ago I went online to see if any good stuff was up for sale.... :stupidme

So I kinda bought this...

Image

It is made by Sellholm, a Swedish maker of racing, rally parts worldwide. I got it second handed for a pretty good price.
Do not know how to mount them yet and do not know how to mount stabilizer either...

But-what the hell. I made it pretty good this far, should be able to make a decent design of this too I guess.

So still online...

Image

Still online....

Going with clear lights this season I guess..
Image

:hammer :hammer :shake

And one more thing. I`m kinda drive decent fast and on the "edge" with the car now.

And the serious and thoughtful father I am, I need a roll cage...

So said, done... :whistle

Image

I`m helping out a good friend to get his e21 street legal,so I got the roll cage that in his car.

Heigo full roll cage. Full alu

So here is todays status in one pic..... I`m out.. Thanks for reading :thnx
