Really happy mate. Big thanks again to John for all the work he did for me and all the advice i got from everyone. Still got a few jobs to finish up on but its back on the road for another year!

Absolutely loving the car! Its well fun to drive, forgot how good the steering is on it too. Got to behave now though, been told me clutch needs bedding in

i gave the flywheel a good rough up with some sandpaper to stop the new clutch glazing on one side as it beds in.
but yeah, id take it easy on it for a few miles. not so much nailing it, more holding it on hills/junctions slipping it etc.... which you shouldnt really be doing to excess anyway.

Nar, i usually knock it out of gear at junctions anyways. Ill take it easy for a bit though. I very impressed with it mate. Just need to sort the tatty bits out now.

Little bit of a problem with the car when returning to idle. If you take your foot off the gas, or drop the clutch, the rev's drop really low. Almost to the point of cutting out. Its only a little niggle i guess, it still runs sweet. What could be causing this though ?? Idle air valve, Air flow meter ??? Any idea's anyones ?? Ta

put your AFM the right way up and see if it still does it - if theres a some sort of flapper in there it might be having a moan about being upside down?

maybe give the idle valve a clean out.
also have a close listen to the throttle body (without it running). the throttle position switch under the thottle body, should give a click just as you move the throttle flap off its bottom stop and again when it closes.
tho i dont think its this cus if it wasnt working it'd be hunting up and down all the time while it was idling.
