A guy with a genuine Alpina conversion is converting my linkage so once it's done we can reverse engineer it I guess.

KR Motorsport are modding a RHD linkage they had there Jimmy and will call me once it's done. I'm going to go down and let them fit it and will take pics. Just on the look out for a replacement wiper arm and blade now. Thinking an e39 tourer rear might be OK?
Also, replaced sidelight bulbs with LED's today. Much brighter and whiter light even in daylight.
Getting the wiper linkage out is a right bastard of a job to!!

Sort of. I think that part of the linkage still bolts up there for support. I will get Bill Zarif to mail me a picture of his car to see what he did.

I'll do that. I might have to withhold certain salient bits of info to try and stop anyone else doing it though!

I've been looking into this for ages mate. I ended up buying an old magazine off e-bay, spotting a converted e21, ringing a company who worked on it, mailing America, finally getting a call from the cars owner and then dealing direct with the company who copied the linkage off their early Alpina A3/s. That's not to mention Hartge giving me a few pointers and part of one of their old linkages. Jason and a few others confirmed roughly what needs doing but its all come down to the details. Anyway, jobs almost done now.
