just a quick picture of the engine in its semi stripped form.
just gotta send it off to be skimmed now and given a good clean
valve guides are good and everything seems in good condition so far.

mmmmmmm turbo tastic

Image
throttle bodie is reall reall small but there is plenty of room for a larger one on the manifold, will have to cut the hole behind larger though.
think this is because the standard kit isnt intercooled so they can keep the turbo small and keep lag to a minimum. as i will be going for a larger turbo unit and intercooler this doesnt matter to me

Image
this is the inlet to the turbo which would normally draw through the injection unit but this will make the basis for my intercooling and induction piping

Image
a trial fit up to my now empty head, ports are perfecto! loads of room to fit an injector rail aswell

another couple of pics i found

thanks for the other info, i dont have a BAE manifold however and im not gonna have one as cant get the top pipe bast brake booster and turbo hits steering link. and if i remove the brake booster i will be mounting a top mount turbo. apparantly after i just had a little look there was a intercooler version of the kit aswell using the same bits but different pipework.

im sure you can do better that wobbly bit of metal bracket for the throttle cable! that looks wank.
rest of it looks ace tho. what sort of power are you aiming for?

looking for about 250 bhp on 7psi. apparantly the BAE/century turbo kit ran 5psi on standard internals and this was under warrenty from the dealer so 7 psi should be nice n easy. dont really wanna go mad
gonna leave standard diff on for now and just see how long it lasts.
think im gonna have large in car boost adjuster so normally will run the car around 4/5 psi so about 200 bhp to increase the life of me differential

pressure tested the cylinders the other night and got a big drop on 3 and 4 so thinking one of 2 things

- chipped valve which is why it runs fine high up

- leaky head gasket which is why its being naughty

gonna get the head of when i get a chance and as im building the new one i need to get by bum in gear and get those injectors mounted ready so i can put the big valve head straight on

well i ordered my injectors last night from america

went for some AC cobra 5.2 litre racing blue injectors x 8. they are used but covered minimal mileage

in american terms they are 24lb injectors

second hand but they can be sonic cleaned if they are a little faulty as i have 8 of them

once i have sorced the best ones and had them all cleaned i will put the other 4 up for sale on here.
they cost me looottttssssss of monies and would like to see a little bit back :(

here is a picture
