Got an e-mail today that confirms the trimmer gets the TWR next Monday.

list to be done

finish plumbing engine up
fit exhaust
finish off fitting interior (to be done when back from trimmers)
check all steering geometry
check all electrics and operation
check electric fan cuts in at correct time and alter if it doesn't
flat and polish various parts of car (to be done when back from trimmers)
fit sunroof mechanism and check operation (to be done when back from trimmers)
rolling road
mot
road test for period to make sure all ok

additonal work recently carried out;

painted all suspension components including front and rear cross members
made up heat shield for chassis area and underneath to stop heat from exhaust
machined up and made rear rose-joints top mounts for rear shock absorbers
made up brackets for oil cooler (already told you about)
stripped and rebuilt steering colum as it had fallen apart and bearings broken.

I'd like to think we're finally getting onto the home straight.

Good work with the detail. It's gonna look so sweet Mark!

glad its gettin done proprly by someone who'll drive it and not just stick it away where no-one'll see it, as a retirement plan. Just out of intrest tho, what'll it be worth once done? It's gotta be rarest Alpina e21 model in the uk right? I know it aint about the cash but interesting.

Going to see the car at the trimmer tomorrow. First time since it's been painted too, so fingers crossed. I'll take my camera with me.

Went over to see the trimmer today and need to get one of the steel bars that supports the headlining.

Was good to see it finally begin to resemble a car once more.
