Think we will need to put all this info in a Techi how to guide for different combinations of disc/caliper/ wheel size, on a budget, so it is not lost and an easy reference for future posts.
I bags 16" when i get round to it! :loll

i will do - i already did one on how to fit the old wilwoods, I will do a proper write up once i have got the brakes mounted and working lol - in fact as I am making brackets I might get a few sets made up - just in case anyone else wants them? dont worry its easy to grind the "mazda" logo off the calipers (they are alloy).

I have been busy in the meantime since my car went to the bodyshop though - i am currently extending the garage that I will be finishing building my car in while its at the bodyshop - its currently a 16ft x 8ft and although i can just about fit the car in i cant work comfortably in there - so the plan is to extend it into a 20ft x 16ft. and then have an metal shed next to it as a storage parts. I must have spent all day today, digging my garden all by hand and by myself - i am a bit knackered (its my age) Managed to excavate an area of 7m x 2m - 10" deep - just got to order a load of hardcore rubble and put the shuttering up-I should be ready for the premix concrete to be poured next weekend.

Mal has also been busy - hes done some smoothing of bodywork and the car is in the final stages of prep - primer is ready for its final sanding down and we can shoot colour next week.

plenty of scabby edges on the underside of my bonnet.

I am very happy with the progress so far, Mal clearly knows what he is doing and has been very patient with me even though i harrass him about my car, on a daily basis.

I am changing the colour. i am sick of bronzit now and seeing as id never sell the car (if it ever fell into the in the wrong hands.... :nah ) and its probably the same amount of work involved.

Mal gave me some several colour swatches based on how i described the ideal colour - so i drove about with them for a couple of weeks to see them in various lights.. some of them were original colours and some he custom mixed for me. I have chosen a colour - its think it will look epic but then again it could easily ruin the whole thing.

its defo not green metal flake - only (problem child (Jamie) likes that :screwy :takepicture  stuff lol.

The whole ''what colour to choose'' thing has been driving me mental for weeks. I've even been dreaming about different shades of flugplatz blue and made a ''definite final decision'' about 3 times now! :crazy
