I 've filled the tank today after calling my wife to come over with a can of gas.
The banana ran out of gas after 10 km. :playcar
Needle was between 20 and R, and every now and then, the little light went on.
One or two clicks on the dash and it went out....... :hammer So was the car...

Fixed a ground problem with the fuel gauge, wouldn't go lower than 30 litres anymore. Luckily the empty tank warning light did work. When disconnecting the wire for the oil pressure light the fuel gauge shot above max which doesn't sound good. Changed the plastic housing including cicuits and now it seems to work fine again. Will need to check if the gauge drops further now but I'll wait for better driving conditions for that. Not expecting any problems anymore though.

Manifolds arrived for the TWR so bust out the dremel to start polishing them up and matching the ports.

Nas mailed my bargain bucket Dastek piggy back ECU down along with a little ''gift''. I can't help wondering why anyone would have these laying around though? :crazy

Nas' little prezzy or dirty secret? :whistle

Also got to finish checking the track car over and getting it ready for Brands Hatch on Saturday where I'm doing a sprint event. The other cars in my class are mainly FWD 205gti & Golf gti plus a Clio 182, so I think I'll struggle to be competitive. :launch

I took my clocks out the other day and snapped the small solid circuitboard behind the handbrake/brake warning lights when removing the little blue plug. I superglued it back together and soldered the path so I *think* it's working okay. However when I first plugged it back in my brake warning light came on (which I've never seen before) but then went off, and the fuel gauge was going wildly between 1/2 full and empty. Now the fuel warning light is on and I don't know if to trust it anymore because of the snapped circuit! Do you know what this circuit is for?

Also another question, I forgot how to route my speedo cable - does it go under or over the mounting point for the clocks?

This actually was sunday I took the car in to change the main clutch pump I was trying to take it off without removing the booster and I managed to remove the screws to then realize that it wouldn't come out as there is no space (duh) so I got really angry kind oh reassembled it as I could and left it back in the garage in expectance of some new parts and a trip to the shop! I miss that car!
