Need to think about the exhaust manifold too as the E30 one wouldn't mate with the E21 downpipe. The ports on the injection head were much bigger than those on the E21 - what's the best route? Having my E21 manifold machined out (the difference is pretty huge, not something that could be done by hand I think) or keeping hold of the E30 one and finding a suitable downpipe?
The exhaust manifold off a early e21 320 or 320i (4 cylinder) is the manifold to have as the e21/m10 2ltr head has the same size ports as the 318i e30 m10 head so bolts straight up...edd

had to take the inlet off this engine to fit it in the boot. there is no gasket on it, just sealer.
under the rocker cover is as clean as it looks in the pics.

Yep! I'll be there but likely not till about half ten or eleven as I've gotta get the metrolink down. I've got the code for the gate but if it's broke again I might have to ring you to tell one of the workshop fellas to let me in.

The gate was working from outside, the inside control box had water in it and was dead. There's now a pushbutton on the inside, or was last week - not been back yet!
Your existing manifold will be fine for the time being, in an ideal world it'd be ported to match up, but the world is usually suboptimal so don't stress about it!

I've emailed Lee at Park lane, he'll find the numbers.
Have you got the injectors? Ebay for those rather than BMW parts man.

will there be any photos of the engine bay once it is fitted? As I think i am going to keep my m10 engine rather than change to m42 and swap the k jet for the later e30 electronic injection and would be interested to see what the engine bay looks like with the e30 manifold/wireing in place..edd..
