Nice job! The manifold looks pretty close.

Managed to resolve the indicator issue - bought new one from GSF - but some fiddling around with old one saw me experiment with some loose wires- and all is sorted
Still may have a problem with Number plate - unless I devote a lot of time and research -

Or simply avoid the Docks carpark!

Now as usual I am thinking of last minute changes prior to the Event in May La Vie en Bleu
typical
the thing is I fitted those RPM adjustable top mounts to give more neg camber
but with the original Alpina supsnesion back on it sits too high at the front (the thickness of the top mount)= around 3/4inch
thinking of lowering using Spax -60mm (about -2 1/4inch)
thing is would they fit since Herman has a 2.8 BB m30 in it- which must be heavier than the 2.3?
I would rather not go for coilovers- any suggestions please? It now rides and hnadles well enough- it just doesn't look quite right!

well I believe it really depends on the spring rates? what are the spring rates of the ones you have now?
the RPM do add a fair bit of height, but luckily I have coilovers and adjusted them accordingly.
I was wondering if you have had your car tested for exhaust noise levels? how loud is it?

don't know at present!
The Spax guy is doing some research and will revert
Re noise- which car?
Butch is too noisy for many UK tracks- (I think 110 db at the MSA 3/4 m) we have additional backboxes that bolt on luckily IOM and Prescott allow more noise- Castle Combe, and Thruxton are very strict. Herman is fairly quiet but original Alpina Back box baffles are failing- not nice noise- I have a plan to fix same with MIJ in May

Went via MIJ in Walsall to have new stainless backboxes fitted- they have done a great job.
and the guy reckons he also did Alun Parry's B6 as well!
Sounds VG
I haven't gone for the full race ones as I thought they were a bit boomy= I will post up what Herman now sounds like

Most of the car had already been trimmed= alcantara roof lining and the dashboard leather with blue stitching
A lovely chap called Alan did the door cards here on the IOM- he usually does custom leather motorcycle suits! He is now retired since he is almost 80!
I then bought the matching handbrake gaiter and handle here:
