What are the odds of running into a 320iS while on vacation in Portugal? Wasn't even looking!

I noticed that Porto based RS Garage just finished the restore of an ex cup racer (Trofeu) a couple of weeks ago. When visiting the almost deserted town of Batalha I ran into a white M Tech 2 E30... that very car! Was also nice to meet the owner, local rally hero Valter Gomes. We didn't have anything car related planned but this just crossed our path, it was meant to be...

Nice car! But i don't like the two tone and the schnitzer stuff.
Or did it ran rally's like this back in time?

I believe it ran the cup like this originally, indeed

It's busy in the street sometimes but we cope, neighbors are getting used to cars being moved about. Good thing is that we have quite a few BMW owners in our street so usually they just smile.
