Well the stats are for the entire website but the forum makes up for at least half of the score.

Thanks for the info. Problem is that I did some mods like that before and experienced as I am I managed to ruin the forum every single time. Don't want to try that again as I already have an idea of the outcome

After removing some suspicious users from the userlist.. still 1917 registered members left! Now it's official, we will reach 2000 this year. But who gets the cake, member 2000 or member 2009 in 2009?

again another spell from the forums but the timely search for another is a longwinded effort over here in aus. theres good examples asking upto 6k lol

It's about time to get this thread back alive again! We sure did hit the 3000 users mark before 2012, in May 2011 even! And even though we did a few clean up operations (anyone who hasn't logged on for years was deleted for example) and there might be some slight pollution in the members list, then we're still way over the 3K mark!

On the other hand I did see some puzzling info today. In April 2009, I reported the website as a whole gets abt 1.6 million hits a month even though sadly I have no info on unique hits figures. Over the remainder of 2009 and in the year 2010, the number of hits grew steadily to about 3 million a month and that number was also hit in Jan and Feb 2011. Since then, the number of hits has taken quite a fall and we're back to 1.6 million again.

1.6 million still is a wonderful figure and if we would remain steady from now on I'd be more than happy, but what explains the move up to 3M and back? Would that be the crisis kicking in, allowing less people to enjoy their car hobby actively? Spam measures installed around that time as I believe I did a forum update in March 2011? Or perhaps that's the result of all Dutch civil servants moving away from this site after taking their weekly bashing on the Dutch forum?

Anyway, I'm still very happy with what this website has become, fun and quality info in a great community of enthousiasts... thanks to all of you for that!

Update... Total members 3869... almost 4K with just E21 fans is a lotttttttt!

Guess what, almost 4.000 users and 100.000 posts... that's the current count, the current situation. Over the past 12 years of the current forum, so including posts that were pruned for old age or otherwise deleted, already over 207.000 messages were posted here! Guess we just missed a major milestone! BTW this 200K milestone was reached on Jan 10 this year and posted by the no 1 spammer here, me
