not really!!!!

its simple out of the way and very easy to read and means no holes in your dash / using tit tape to hold em down?

I see what your saying but our cars are like 25 years plus and when someone sees the pillar pods there directly for use on most japanese cars with all kinds of multi coloures gauges... that will look cheap.... if thats your taste then its good for you i guess and also for anyone else looking that direction... but i personally wouldnt go down that route..

Yes, even taking it only from aesthetics point of view, I agree with Jimi on this... (just sbd tell me what happens to the air flowing from the rear of the pod, I 'm stuck in the subject...)

Petros, i had to take out my heater front panel and cur away plastic the fits behind the airduct, now i had to do this because the gauges wouldnt fit far back and also the gauges were pointing downwards and you couldnt see it, so i cut asmuch as possible at the rear to fit the gauges nicely, and with the airflow form the heater duct , the air does come out but what is restricting it is the gauges in front of the duct but to be honest you wont now any difference you still can feel the air but not at full blast because the gauges divert the flow of air being in the front if you see what i mean..

You do still feel the air, it isnt a majoy difference in change!!!
Do it!

I like the simplicity of just having the pod on the dash top and it's a period modification which just suits the car I think? I might swap to analogue gauges once funds allow but am quite happy with what I have considering the low cost. If anyone has any gauges and senders going cheap though just let me know!

This is the Zender pod and probably has the most ''factory'' look but LHD only I think?

Hi mark, yes thats true, but have you seen the back to that, its massive!!! covers the grill on the dashboard complete, its nice but its f-----g disapointing as it was only made for the wrong side... it does up on the german ebay from time to time... i was in a look out for a Right hand side but dont make em so i opted for yher next best thing i suppose..

Ok-this is the one I am thinking of fitting.
Are there any pictures available showing it from the side or from rear, to see where exactly it fits? (I don't understand its size by the front pic) If there are some more pics Mark can you post them please?
Is it possible to use the speaker screw holes underneath for mounting? (in order to avoid drilling new holes)

Cant use the speaker holes. the gauges have 4 little holes in the bottom wich you can use to fix it in your dash. When fixed it looks like it extends the left part of yur dash.

The thing i dont like about those pods is that theyre made out of plastic, so not the same material as the rest of your dashboard.

Can anyone post pics of their sender units and tell me where / how they've fitted them please?

Hi,

Maybe this can help you, not fitted nto a dash (yet), but you can clearly see the holes to use to fit them.

Thanks dennis but it's the sender units, and where in the engine bay they're fitted, that I need now.
