im afriad that my car will be now coming off the road thanks to the fooking insurance company costing me a fortune!!!!
the head gasket has gone on the new engine anyway so might aswell strip it out and start making some proper effort into the new engine.
im currently in talks with a pro engine builder who has built many an m10 race engine before and is starting to work out the bits i need for my engine and cost to do the work from scratch.
meanwhile i will be doing lots of work to project panza to get her up to scratch which i will be continueing on the other thread, im afriad that she wont be at any ACE nights for a while now unless i nick the work trade plates

finally found a engine stand at work which i can borrow so once i have unpacked it and set it up on a bit of board so it doesnt mark the floor in the flat i will get about mounting the m10 onto it
how much does an m10 with no head or anciliries on it weigh does anyone think? gotta put it into the lift to get it up to flat although it can come back down the stairs lol

well the lift in the flat takes 800kg so its all gravy

Can't you disassemble it like you can with the Clarke's ones?

yes but once the engine is built upstairs it would need to be wheeled out of the flat into the lift and downstairs, carrying it would work but take a big risk of damaging the floors and walls etc

Then assemble the bottom end, head and induction setup as separate components and carry them down separately.

well i have now paid for this so i may aswell show you what i have purchased
BAE turbo manifold
whole kit. this consits of a BAE inlet manifold (i now have 2!!!!!) a BAE turbo manifold and a RAJAY turbo. also comes with a take off for the oil feed (have 2 again) but this one also has the oil line.
basically with the 2 kits i now have a full kit, it also has all the right plumbing to fit the supercharger aswell.
the turbo manifold is meant to be a lower mount turbo so im going to see if it clears the steering rack but i doubt it very much so i will be mounting it upside down, this means that the inlet on the turbo will be facing the wrong way due to the 3 bolt triangle flange, what i will have to do is make up an adaptor pipe. I was planning on doing this anyway and i can make a couple one with a rajay mount and one with a T3 mount incase i need to switcharoo the ole turbos.
this should also raise the turbo slightly (hopefully just out of the bonnet)
Also need an adjustable wastegate for the manifold but im still getting round my head what sort of Psi im going to be running and how having a supercharger pulling through the turbo will work
hope you guys like the retro turbo coolness
Apparantly RAJAY turbos are used in light aircraft........ so yes i am fitting a plane turbo to my car lol
