Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Went on a Manx Classic Car club car Run today
http://www.flickr.com/photos/59577851@N03/
You can see some of the cars above
the idea is that we all meet up and then follow Rally hieroglyphics to finish off in a hostelry somewhere on the island
My 9 year old navigator got a bit confused and we took a bit of a detour- and the route was pretty muddy- we were a bit suspicious of how clean some of the cars were! We had to Jet Wash Herman afterwards
My Jack took a quick trip in the Model T
The Model T at least admitted to a short-cut!!
Liked the Jensen- one of 3 Blue Jensens on IOM
Incidentally we have found only one other E21 here (a LHD tarmac warrier!)

Car looks great in the photos. Only thing I'd change are the badges that replace the roundels. Any engine shots?

Agreed I must replace those Alpina Roundals - especially as the rear one is a Chinese copy and all askew!
engine looks VG

I shall outline the works involved in getting Herman working and past the Test on other thread!

Paid for the new rad & fan for TWR and still reeling from the £500 bill.
Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
The skip man took the skip off the drive today so I went to my Parent's house and picked up the Baur. Nice shower of water onto my leg from the front of the targa roof as I drove off - need to get new rubber seals and/or not leave it outside. Hopefully be able to get it into the garage this week. Just need to shift a fridge that's in there first!

that is reallly expensive and i am unsure of why!!!
anyway i fitted the new suspension arms and big ass washers after giving them a lick of paint of course.
MUCH BETTER NOW! haha, that annoying rattle has gone and now the car feels tight and solid at the front.
once my 40kgs lighter engine goes in - this can only improve. who wants to take me on round the nurbergring next year!!

I know the fan is 80 of it but I'm expecting something pretty special for the remainder. Especially as it was a private job kinda deal.nas80 wrote:that is reallly expensive and i am unsure of why!!!e21-Mark wrote:Paid for the new rad & fan for TWR and still reeling from the £500 bill.
I'll be in the TWR but I'll pull over and wait for you mate.nas80 wrote:who wants to take me on round the nurbergring next year!!

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Time will tell but it should be an interesting comparison.
In my ever evolving quest for induction noise I fitted a carbon fibre air intake today.

Forgive the i-phone quality - or lack of it - but it makes a nice, deep sound now.

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Soon.
Had hoped to be doing it tomorrow but trying to get the TWR finished.
The new rad and fan arrived from AH Fabrications today so should be going for carbs to be jetted and ECU mapped @ Thurston Engineering. I cannot wait to see how much grunt we get. Am hoping for 260+ though and nice fat chunk of torque. I know Ian Elliotts touring is a similar spec and he actually made more than that.

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Took the Alpina wheels off the TWR and removed the old tyres prior to shipping them off for a refurb. I'm thinking of having the outer lip diamond cut and polished t give them a bit of a lift. Managed to get all new centre caps & badges too.
