Like when you strip a car for bits and just lob the odds & ends in the cabin.

I used to know Graham Chapman (Brian in L of B). They used to have a quick 2002 back in the day.

Yep. Died in 89' My ex nursed him at the end. Was a bit surreal when he died as a lot of the pythons came down along with Peter Cook.

Wow, that's cool...not cool that he's died of course lol. My Dad was a huge fan, so i've seen most of the things they've all done. Can't beat the holy grail imo :D

And I bet there was a little thought in the back of your mind that it almost looked like a comedy sketch. They showed the footage of his memorial in a documentary years ago. Before you click the link, please remember it's a service for a Python...

"well you could have called me dennis"
"i didn't know you were called dennis"
"you didn't bother to ask!"

right, i spent far too much time working on my cars paint finish today. i did the following:

wash
clay bar
wash
polish
long life sealant (2 layers)
heavy duty wax (2 layers)

and might give it another coat of wax in the morning, but this is the finish i managed to get

Image

it looks pretty good for a 28 year old car 8)
the sealant and waxes i use are quite expensive, but being this car my daily driver and considering it's age, i tend to buy products for durability and protection rather than finish. they still give a good finish as you can see, but the sealant and waxes will last from now and still be beading water at the end of next winter...they really are that good, helping to protect my paint from the dreaded salt, UV rays etc etc.

i also helped my dad clean the M3 the other day too, and again got a pretty decent finish to it. although i didn't use a clay bar or polish it, and it only got 1 coat of long life sealant
