Verrrrrrry Goooooooood.
keep up the good work.....
p.s. you did mention a very long while back that it has an M3 differentisl on it, beg a favour can you take some pictures of the rear subframe, id like to see what mods has been done to carry/bolt the diff on to, and the halfshafts.. i was told an E30 lsd conversion was tried but not succeeded or something, so if you have some pix it would be great!!

Yes i can.
I have made this to my last two e21`s and two others. I is a bit job but it is well worth is if you got a bit power under the hood
Cut out the middle of the e21 subframe and weld back from an e30,a little modification to the luggage floor must be done-not mutch.
Shorten the e21 outputshafts and bolt on to the e30.
The exaust system also have to be modified,no longer room over the sub, have to go under with exaust if you not modify the gastanks.
Also making of a new mount to the diff must be done.
Piece of cake
I am going to make to subframes to fit e30 lsd by april, and build an e21 to fit a e30 in april,i take som pictures on the manufacturing.
Thanks for nice words.

Hi propan, i think thats an excellent project, i would however if you make up a subframe for an E30 LSD i would like to see it i curious comapred to my E12 diff conversion, did the rear half shafts fit straight to the diff from hub or any modifications, shorten/extended length? shims/spacers?
the E12 diff requires no spacers on the rear drive/half shafts as it fits perfect, only subframe modification and rear beam diff carrier modification.

Have start fitting the diff now. Gearbox tunnel finished.
The subframe is made and this show how mutch I got to cut to make it fit.

The last modifications I made to e30 diff on e21 where fine, but this time i try something new.
I am going to use the original e30 fitting on the diff cover, and make new brackets on the car.
The last car i made the diff fit the car-this time i build the car to the diff.
By doing this it will also be easier to find a better diff cover and better mounting-like polyurithane.
Like this for better cooling. Same design as the e21 alpina.

I am still going to make another subframe,i will take pics on the building for these who`s interested.

There is a progress,but slowly
I am cleaning the car under before zink and tectyl.
The car will be on wheels and finished under in a couple of weeks or so.
All welding under is finished. The engine is then put in place and driveshaft is gonna be made. Then there is brackets etc before i pull out the engine for the last time and paint the engine compartment.
I am trying to make an aluminium tank to watersystem combined with wiper fluid as well.. still designing.
After that the nice things happens-final assembly.
Sorry,no pics at this moment.
