Yes drive shafts were custom made at allgears in reading and will have no problem coping with 495lb/ft of torque so i was assured (good for 700LB/FT), will have to wait and see! All parts are finally bought so am in a good place with not much more to spend. Decided to go with ls3 as gained an inch and a half more room in engine bay and and a whole lot more power. You know better than most the cost of one-off fabrication associated with engine swaps and am glad i spread the cost over a few years. By the way have got some new group 5 moulds made which are mint so you know what your next project will be> Now who's going to be tempted to spend even more money? lol

those driveshafts you have buddy? would they bolt up to a standard e21 fitment wise? i only ask as last year i went through 2 sets of driveshafts in my m60 powered e21, need something more hard core!!!

dont really wanna go down the custom quaiffe route as they're mega expensive. also dyu mind telling me how much you paid for your driveshafts?

Yes M15KKY all bolts up to standard e21 . I bought driveshafts stubb axles and hub flanges. Driveshafts are about £300-350 each from memory .Will pm you with the man to talk to. Loving your v8 e21 by the way . Heard mine started up today and it sounds superb and after a few years of grief seems well worthwhile.

Thanks Topcat. Will look into what series it's eligible for but for the time being just gonna enjoy it on the road. Can see that you have a soft spot for a v8 or two.

We will defo catch up for a coffee Mark . The car is mot'd and taxed and did 5 miles on the clutch until it smoked it so is now having a twin plate one fitted. Just cornerweighting, a rear diffuser and rear spoiler to finish 100%. Car hasn't been cleaned yet so a good polish too. It is having electric exhaust cutouts so can adjust the noise and this is being done this week so will drive as is without the spoiler and rear diffuser and look to have them sorted over next couple of months.
