Top pic looks like you've painted orange flames on it!

mmmmm, im not feeling the mirrors if im honest.

ive just not got any disposable cash atm. our lasses landrover keeps needing parts to keep it on the road too. had to fit a pair of front wheel bearings on it the other week at £35 each.
sadly i cant kid myslf that adj. top mounts are essential purchase items, not when the wheels are falling off the discovery!

Those pictures don't do the mirrors justice tbh. They aren't mounted properly there yet, and I need to paint them. In fact, I don't think they'll look that different unless it's next to a standard car.

If I smoked, drank or went clubbing etc, I doubt I'd be able to have my car as I want it. It's about my only luxury and I guess that's partly why I enjoy it so much.

i do smoke a tiny bit 5-6 a day, but dont really drink as such its nice to have a couple of cans friday night tho.
its having 2 children (4+5) and owning a house (paying the mortgage) running two cars. paying the child minder (as me and our lass both work.).
i mean, with the kids being off for 2 weeks recently the bill for the child minder was £500 last month! food, household bills etc... it all adds up to me having no money!

im sure its the same for everyone tho......

anyway. your painting chrome mirrors? :?

Luckily my kids have reached an age where they can earn for themselves - at last!

I might wrap them as opposed to painting - we shall see. Right now they've been put away so I can concentrate on the important stuff like brakes and suspension.

How's your new ARB now you've racked up some miles?

its great. i suspect it might make it more tail happy in the wet tho.
feels more planted atm in the dry.

wrapping them would be a good idea! obviously, paint doesnt stick very well to chrome.

Just back from a fun few hours at Brands although I'm gutted my lift home couldn't stay longer so I could have watched the track-day event. There were some really nice cars there too. Roll on the end of June.

Should be a cracking feature in Retro Car Magazine. They did photo shoot in 3 locations including on circuit. As soon as I know proposed dates etc, for publishing, I'll let you know. I'm trying to encourage them to cover e21's at Gaydon in August so that more cars can be included.
