Treated the neighbours to the sound of an m20 on triple 45's. Took battery off to charge fully at home and started an extremely long ''to do'' list.

Fabricated an accelerator pedal mount on the floor, welded it on. Wire wheeled, swept and hoovered the floors in preparation for hammeriting only to find out I've lost my hammerite, gash! It now means I have to get the paint, paint the floor and wait another night after that to refit the carpet and seats. The floor itself looks awful after all the residue is left from removing the sound deadening, but it will be under carpet, out of sight out of mind! I also went parts hunting on the farm finding all the bits and bobs to finish it off, and had a good scout around the car to see what's left to do!

Most of today was spent tidying up my Land Rover Defender as some guy wanted to take a look incase he wanted to buy it. I spent about 3 hours sorting it out, only for him to jump in the drivers seat, ask me how much it was and then left. He was literally there for less than 2 minutes!!

Trial fitted carbonfibre door cards in race car along with Engellman mirrors. Took out battery so I can clean & re-paint boot and run new wire for fuel pump. After months of searching l also found myself a proper workshop at last!

Hello all, I have an E21 project going where i'm using an 2.7Eta block with a head from my old 3.23I urospec motor. What can I expect from the new combination?

well, it was more yesterday really. i drove it :driving my E21 has been sat doing bugger all really whilst i'm at uni, just sitting outside doing about 10miles per week....! it hadn't been used for 10 days so, fired it up (started straight away :) ) and gave it a nice gentle run down the dual carriageway for 5-6 miles and turned back, just for the sake of using it.

oddly though, it is making a funny noise when pulling away after being left (not the engine...sounds like grinding coming from the wheels but i don't think it's the brakes)

Got to get a dirty / expensive train to go pick MIB up. Hopefully, the drive back will make it well worth all the hassle & expense?!

Yay! Not only is the top end much quieter but there's way more sheer grunt lower down in the rev range.

On the way back home I discovered the TCA bushes are shot. :wtf

Slug - pushed out of garage so I could get into the loft above and measure up for the extension plan.

Baur - more filler/sanding on the passenger arch, looked at the passenger door I filled a dent in a while ago and redid it, did some thorough grinding to remove all trace of the surface rust I'd not really dealt with properly at the bottom of the door then slapped a load of filler on it. Also removed passenger door card, lock and door top trim. Removed aerial, rubbed down a few bits and waited for paint/filler to set.

Need to try and get back down there over the weekend. Hopefully the ramp will be cleared in the next few days so I can stick the car on it and finish off the mechanical/exhaust stuff. If not I'll get it painted, refit the trim/lights and then do the underneath bits.

I also found a shorter version of the alternator adjuster bar, presumably off the PAS setup.

Changed my TCA's!

Discovered rear links need doing next. It's a bit like the Fourth Bridge at the moment.
