It's the supercharged s14, forged pistons, mls, arp's etc with a standalone DTA ecu should be good for 320BHP and lighter than the s50

Engine change due to several reasons, money, practicality and motivation. But it does mean all the fab work should be finished soon . The engine needs custom mounts as I am keeping the 323i subframe as it already has a few days graft in modifying the suspension mounts for roll center and track.

Same power with less weight... definitely not a negative. Would love to have seen this completed with s50, but for a race car, having a big heavy six up front is just too much of a compromise unless it could be moved back 200mm or something.
Hopefully youve got some inspiration to crack on and finish it now!

It also keeps the original 2.3 displacement :P

Looking forward to this!

Liking the engine choice, keep up the good work. TBH wasn't too sure about those wheels on an e21, but it looks wicked with the arches on

Is that the hand brake lever facing backwards mate? and have you used a custom steering column?

Once it's all finally built will you break it all down to paint it?

Hi mark

It is a vertical level just flopped down as there is no master cylinder installed. Steering coloum is stock lowered 50mm and a weld on quick release boss for the steering wheel.

The plan is to do all the fab exhaust etc then strip it shot blast and paint

Ahh, I see now. It's gonna be great when it's finished. I know I've said it before but we got some really nice UK e21's now and this is another one. It'll be great when we finally get them all in one place - hopefully with some on track excursions too!
