I wonder what you'd need to do to convert this to road legal spec? 8) Image

Where have you attached the shoulder harnesses to??
Where the rear seat belt buckle bolts on under seat Jim. I know its not ideal there though so eventually I'll put an eye bolt just below parcel shelf.

First thing you need to get that Group 5 car road legal is the £40K asking price Dave.

Mark harnesses are legal as long as they have a standard release rather than an aircraft buckle.

That group 5 has a few intresting mods including a lot of extra front aero and a ducted rad, also it is the cheapest
on the market

Cool - they're regular buckles so fine for my needs.

The aero stuff was a bit Marmite but think the plans are to take it back to factory spec eventually.

Got my new rims lined up and went for something period'ish.

15 x 7J front and 15 x 7.5J rear split rims. They're actually genuine magnesium alloy Panasport rims but look just like these...

Going to stick with black or graphite centres still though.

My Fondmetal rims will be going up for sale once the splitties are back from polishing.

I'll give you a shout Dave.

These are the one's I've got coming but I need to find a local place to get them rebuilt before fitting or is it a simple job that I could do myself.

Are you gonna be featured on the 'My Classics' page in 'Classics & Sportscar'?
Darn, beat me to it... :(

Keep doing it Dave. There must be at least 10 suitable magazines out there and they'll all take unsolicited submissions from readers. The more e21 stuff that gets in print, the better. It's the same with photos. Most of them are looking for stuff that's new and if they see interest is on the up, they'll be keen to reflect it. There are some really intersting & cool cars here. Murrans drift car, the recent conversions, Misky's V8 etc, not to mention the straight period stuff like yours, Darren, m3gaz etc. Maybe we can get some good group shots at Gaydon and make sure all the magazines get copies? :launch

My car goes back to RPM today for the engine swap. It's a 2.7 that was being run on K-jet but that's going in the skip to be replaced by Motronic and eventually, a Dastech Uni chip and live remap. This means 2 days on a dyno but it should mean I can get the most from my engine and be sure of making 220+ bhp.

I've still got loads of smaller jobs I want to do and am thinking of making an alloy airbox to seperate the air intake from the rest of the engine bay. Nothing complicated but I'm going to try and combine some sort of support for the intake too. I just need to find somewhere locally that supplies ally sheet.
