usps is standard parcel shipment like royal mail, nothing special which is 7-10 working days delivery to the uk then held at parcel force where it gets vetted in their customs department for 3 days and they send you a letter that you must collect the item within 20 days or it gets sent back and you need a passport to collct as proof of id!!.. i had a stewart warner G.U.S shift light guage imported from the US a few days ago and just fitted it to my car and must admit i did get it cheap as i was quoted 250 quid over here and got it for 60 quid, when tax got involved they charged me 20 quid and bear in mind it was a very small box.. the higher price you pay the more tax you get stung by... the seller has to declare the real price or they get done for providing false information!! which means if you paid something thats 100 dollars as an example you probably pay 45 quid import duty... and ill chop my bollox off if you get away with it.. sometimes you may get a happy wanker in the customs that turns a blind eye to... ive imported stuff from china and i got away with it a few times and the reason is that the seller ticked GIFT on the box.. wether cos its part of the british colony i dont know... but then being a republic of china since 1997 dont know....
just keep some large amount of wad to one side for the bitch with diamonds on her head....
How much is the item you bought??

We'll see later on.
It's just a set of cheap Recaro seat covers to tidy things up till I get the job done properly.
I'll post pics when I fit them later. They look ok though and I spoke to a few other people with them who reckon so long as I remove the seats to fit them and take my time, they are pretty good.

Right guys here we go.
I bought some covers from California for my Recaros. Now obviously, these are just covers and never going to be as good as a proper re-trim but I just wanted something cheap'n'cheerful to tidy my seats up till I can have them covered in cow.
These covers were advertised as being specifically made for the e21 Recaro and at $107 I thought they were worth a punt. They arrived today and I must say I am rather pleasantly surprised at their quality. They actually fit really well and considering I have just trial-fitted one cover, they look pretty good. Certainly better than the tatty ripped seat underneath anyway.
First I fitted the headrest cover.

Then, with the headrest removed, I slid the back cover on. They are a tight fit but go on eventually.

I then extended the thigh support and fitted the seat base cover.

The overall look is pretty good and like I said, they are a good tight fit. I plan to fit a Recaro seat badge to keep the cover tight and flush with the seat back support.

The seats really need to be removed to fit the covers properly and secure them underneath. I plan to do that one day this week. I know a full re-trim is obviously much better but for the price I am well chuffed with these and the interior of my car will look a hundred times better than it did.

Better quality and fit than Ripspeed stuff but they'll do the job till I can afford cow. Anyway, fitted them both and managed to get away without any creases or sagging. Overall look is certainly better than the tatty material underneath anyway and gives me an idea of how things will look once a few suicidal cows have donated their hides.

Nearly finished doing my clutch now. The flexible hose is on it's way out and it was cheaper to fit a braided one with a lifetime warranty than to buy another rubber one from the main dealer.

Janspeed just rang and they have had to postpone doing my exhaust till next Wednesday.
I'm a bit pissed off they can't do it tomorrow but because they are doing me a good deal on price I can't moan too much I guess.
I'm searching for a set of 15'' Revolutions at the moment although not having much luck - yet.
