Just short-shift. I spend way too much time on motorways to want a dog-leg box.

Almost fitted the split-rims today but they haven't machined out quite enough for the hub. The good news is that the ET was just about perfect. I've ordered Toyo888r's in 205 rears and 195 fronts. I guess it gives me time to order some centre caps.

Front ARB finally landed from Brisbane and should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully, Super-Pro may be looking at importing more so if anyone would like them for their cars I can PM you a contact number?

I'm still sort of running in the new engine. I figured that I would go easy'ish for 500 miles, change the oil, then see exactly what it'll do. It's got way more torque than the 2.5 and the car certainly feels much faster. The only downside is that the conversion has shown up the weaknesses of the old Motronic and I really need to go the MAF route to bet the best from it.

Rear ARB is here and front is on route so should be fitted in time for Santa Pod along with the split-rims - I hope!

Cool. Be good to see you there.

My car developed a bit of a misfire last night so I decided to check the plugs. Discovered Bosch super 4's or whatever they call them in Max Power, so ditched them in favour of NGK BRP6ES. Although a bit better, the misfire is still there under load so my local motor factors ordered me a new set of leads. £34 plus VAT seems pretty reasonable but they won't be here till morning. Anyway, whilst have a poke around I discovered a poor connection that seemed to cure it but I 'm going to fit the new leads anyway.

While I was out the front ARB turned up too! I'm going to try and get my car finished by Santa Pod and then just enjoy it.

My car's in here too, with Dave from E21 Revival. Supposed to be out Thursday but some shops get it early or you can download it to your phone.

the super 4s seem to make m20s run rough for some reason. may people on e30zone go on and on about them.
have you got one plug that looks different from the others? unless a lead is physically/visibly damaged, id be surprised if its a lead. hows the dizzy cap? no little cracks in it?

The cap's new and there was one plug/lead that looked a little worse but might be my imagination. They're past their best though anyway so new ones won't hurt. I'll let you know if there's any difference.
