I got the slug out of the garage to move a freezer in there. Brakes still stuck on, presumably due to surface rust/standing. Must get them freed off well in advance of Cadwell park on 7th May, don't want a last minute panic again!

First start in 5 months after winter storage. Happiness is having your E21 run like a clock after an extended downtime.

Got slug out again and looked at brakes. Pedal solid and brakes locked.
11mm socket on bleed nipples bit of fluid squirts out. Can hear the pedal relaxing. Brakes fixed. Can't think why they would do that except that I put new fluid in for the Oulton trackday and it was freezing cold. Maybe it expanded as it warmed up.

The Baur is out of hibernation again as well. Fresh headlights, fresh Michelin Pilot Exalto tyres and changed from 7J to 6J at the front, back to 'original Alpina' spec. The first Dutch E21 community drive is planned for this Sunday and I'm ready! Photos to follow.

Very Close
7x15 et10 with 215/50/15 R888's
8x15 et15 with 225/50/15 R888's
And they are Splits so in a few years when I go for a group 2 kit I can replace the outer lips to make them 10's & 11's
I've not gone wider as you don't want to run stretch for a racing car. Apart from when cornering

Started getting things together for my sprint car. It's going to be a very simple build. As light as possible and just running a 2.5 on 40's. Initial job was stripping the interior ready for cage and minor floor repair.
Another safari biege non-sunroof 316. Going to be reborn as Group 2 replica sprint car.
