Needs some work, granted. Been sitting here since 2008, has some rust you may be surprised to know
Non starter check
No brakes check
Big hole in boot floor check
Springs that pop through the seats and stab your bum check
Happy as a pig in poo double check

Fronts are standard spec I beleive, may well be wrong but I do know that they need some work + tyres
Rears are a bit more rare and interesting, ats centras I have been told. Not bad nick too.
Spent some time today with a bucket and some polish, plenty of work to do but seemed like a good place to start and you always notice a load of stuff giving a car a wash.
Scrubs up not too shaby
Back end has had a shunt at some point which seems to have been the route cause of a lot of the grot. This seems to be the worst of it but maybe I just haven't looked hard enough yet.

Couple of plates and a back panel needed. Well for the spare of course has holes too and the rear towing eye is not to be trusted. Gonna keep be out of trouble this one. I'll end on a nicer pic.

Like those rear wheels, they'd look sweet re-done. You wanna ask DrJim for some photos of his CSL. It would make you feel happy about your rust problems

what polish did you use
and did you use a machine? came up bloody well considering what it was like!!!!!
you are a brave, brave man taking on that. fair play though.

Cheers folks.
Used a 2 in 1 Tcut and polish, bargain bin at Halfords. Wax on by hand before remembering I had got a machine from Lidl, doh. Pretty chuffed with the result, it should help keep the rust a bay too.

if you want long paint protection i recommend "carlack 68 long life sealant" and collinite 476 super double coat for a wax coating on top.
the carlack is a sealant, and mine lasted the whole winter (from august to march) and then i reapplied more. was still on the car so probably didn't need any more. it's meant to last about 12 months, come rain, snow, salt etc. and the collinite is known to be the most durable car wax out there
