Hey all,

As most of you know I've been forced to move back home to parents for a while. I've managed to sell the Polo for £1000, so happy with that and started looking for a new runaround until I can save some money for an E21.

Luckily...my parents were feeling kind and said if I give them the money for the polo they'll buy me a newer car...and despite not having a choice of this car my Dad has bought a 2000 VW Golf GTI 1.8Turbo, it's a nice dark teal, recaros etc...can't really complain!

I might not have chosen it myself but i'm more than happy with it and will be posting pics here when we pick it up.

What I want is some ideas of what wheels to put on it, so any input would be awesome...I know there's got to be some more v-dub fans on here!

Pics will be put up asap so you can see what might work best in your opinions....

congrats on the new car.the 2000 golf is my favourite shape vw (i only want the R32 though)
my best mate just sold his 2.0 gti and it served him very well.
it had the square chunky 5 spoke gti rims on it and looked very nice

Lol come home and say your best friend cheated on you the whole time you were going out...and obviously you're devastated by how it all came out and ended....then they're sure to buy you a car too!

Anyway...pics i took on the ole iphone when I finally decided to stop racing around and park her up for the night...(and had the pleasant surprise of a 6 disc CD Changer whoop!)

Keep the wheels or buy new ones??

no they just kicked my arse... on a serious note it happend to me... 4yrs worth... so keep your chin up!... it all happens for a reason and all that shite....

What kind of audi ones u thinking?...E21 will come for me in a cple years time when i have a better job etc...so don't worry I will be back with one eventually!

Regarding the car: it's good enough like it is now, good daily driver and a nice upgrade to the Polo. And yes save that money for the E21!

Yup ok i think you're all right. Start saving now and keep it as is. Nice upgrade for now and a better one to come in the future
