I finally got round to having the engine tuned and a new centre section with a custom built stainless box. Sounds better now!!! :D

Is it straight pipe to the rear silencer now then?

The centre is original as the mechanic ordered it without me knowing as the old one had rusted which is a shame otherwise I would have had a full stainless system. The back box is a stainless straight through, free flowing etc etc.. It sounds much better though...I will probably change the manifold and the centre when I have some spare cash. Guess I will have to wait until christmas! :D

Thanks for your positive comments guys. I am chuffed with it although my neighbours are probably not too impressed! :D Kam I got the work done by a good friend of mine at StyleDynamix in Hayes (Middx) The new company name is "Long Life Exhausts" It cost £190 incl fitting. Give him a buzz (02085610001) :D

Thanks Hannah, I have been looking at some 16" wheels 9J wide and 7.5 front but don't know whether to stick to the steels...If I get new wheels, I will be spending all my time cleaning them LOL. I'm off to a show this Sunday in Uxbridge and will have the car at my mate's stand. Come down if you are interested :)

It looks very nice! I'm after a full stainless as soon as my dodgy repair lets go. Mucho better! Keep the steelies dude! Keep it retro, poverty spec!

Thanks dude! I need to concentrate on the suspension now as the rear subframe mounts are worn bushes, shocks etc. I have seen some spax adjustable for 490. I'll just have to hang on and see i guess. Cheers Ally

Thanks Hannah,

I'm having problems with it cutting out now since the tune. It cut out on the motorway which wasn't too good so I coasted at 60mph! LOL One of my lamps for the single lamp conversion got smashed so I'm not too happy :(
