Here's my ride. I love this car! Using the car as my daily driver. I have been with this car for 23 years. I really enjoy the handling, the reliability and the lines. :D

Looks nice. Euro bumpers would be an improvement.

Every time I see US E21 I'm shocked how big those bumpers are.

I still don't understand exactly why usa have to have those bumpers? Is it an actual law or could you get away with a european one?
Car looks great though, very nice :D

Thank you. I had a 1970 BMW 2002 once, it had chrome euro bumpers. It's a nice look, for sure. Euro bumpers would have to be new with new mounting hardware for this (e21) car to change over. They are a b@#%h to change out from the US spec bumpers to euro. I lived in the metro/city and parallel parking is a given. The bumpers help out. The USA bumper is rated at 5-7 miles per hour IMPACT. They're "fugly", but strong. They call them ""diving board bumper. <LOL> what a great name. I've watched events from it. I've made out on it. It has served trays of hors d'oureves, and bottles of beer. It's a BMW picnic bench. I love this e21.
I had a chaminoix 1978 320i, too, with the 2.0 liter... I put a header on that car and it became a "wailer". I run a 1.8 liter now.
There's a big e30 following over here. This was from a camping trip in Tennessee on US 129 last.

The bonnet is nice and roomy, I find...

As for the bumpers, a lot of cars imported into America in the late 70's/80's had to have bumpers like this to meet the strict US crash laws. Personally I quite like them, would be tempted to put a set on The Bride, but I'd never be able to close my garage door again.

that looks just like my very first 320. it was a IS just like yours. even had the same color. unfortunately cars dont do well when they are rolled over 1.5 times
your car looks nice. have you thought about compressing the bumpers. it does help a bit with the diving board look

Haha brilliant! Can't beat it if it aids sexual needs as well as props up the beers!
