Probably like most people here on the forum i'm stuck with the LSD problem they are impossible to find half cheap. does anyone have any experience of the Quaife ATB as an alternative? quaifes website and i must have read it 10 times still leaves me unclear on exactly what it does. all i want to know is will the car be able to leave big black hoops in my local asda car park and still be possible to sunday drive around bends without pushing on like a welded diff?
any enlightenment would be much appreciated
thanks
Willy

Qaulife works to make get round the corner quick, and can leave number 11's but not the best for donoughts

Mines very nimble down the back lanes with the quaife in it.
Didn't really notice the difference on circuit compared to a standard BMW LSD. But then I only had my 2.3 engine which couldn't compete witht he grip i've got on track.

Find BMW e30 or e36 with small diff. Take out LSD element out of diff and put it in e21 diff. Don't forget, that pinion and gear must match. That's it.

Small case e36 or e30 diffs are about the same price as a e21 LSD or even more by the time you swap the bits over

Is a small case e36 diff not a torsen diff? similiar to the quaife unit? does anyone have any experience doing an e30/e36 diff conversion? I will look into this.

I have they tend to put them in front wheel drive motors. I am under the impression they are designed for racing as opposed to 'fun'.
