Holes, holes, holes.

Some idiot decided to install one of those giant GT race spoilers on the boot of the e21. :x I have not bothered about this for a while as there have been other things to do. But now its time to give the decency back to the bimmer. There are 4 holes drilled in the boot in which the screws went through. Whats the best way to repair this?

either weld up the holes or filler them, smoothen it down then repaint.

as jimmi said that is the best way too fix it, but if you cant be arsed with that then put some rubber grommits in you can paint them the same colour as your car wont stand out so much.

i feel your pain

some previous bell-end owner of my car stuck a daft spoiler on too - i was mocked by everyone. so i think its high time i got to laugh at someone else.

lets see pics of this spoiler you speak of.

gromits are only a short term fix. someone tried to patch the holes in my boot from the same problem by putting in gromits, and rust has since bubbled up around them. as they say, do it right the firs time, and you wont have to do it again

I'm thinking of just finding another boot lid, any reasonable price for one. In australia i figure it might be a bit harder to find. I'll try and post a picture soon. Sorry if i don't get back to you for a while.

Thanks

Andrew
