use very thin rope / strong speaker wire - to pull the seal on the inside. defo a two man job if your doing it at home.

do u insert the chrome strip first aswell or after the windscreen is in

yeah theres a special tool you can buy for a tenner that makes putting that chrome in very easy. I dont think its gonna be easy to put the chrome in without it.

Best to wait till the sun has been shining too. It's much easier when the rubber isn't cold & hard. Don't bother trying to use a screwdriver or something either. The proper tool is cheap and makes it a much easier task to do.

Everything that's been said on this thread already, also if you're in cold conditions, either keep running a hairdryer over the rubber as so to keep it supple OR (not AND from a safety perspective) keep the rubber in a bowl of hot water. Good ol' washing-up liquid is a great lubricant to ease the glass into the rubber when you're at that tricky stage of two-thirds in.
