The transformation of my 1982 323i is almost complete - a factory spec conversion from automatic to 5 speed manual, hernia operation to remove all the ridiculous emission control gear and a brand new set of headers, picked up for AUD$110 as new old stock from a performance shop. Now if I can just convince the treasurer of the value of a set of Recaro's and a full interior retrim in Cornsilk leather....(after all, if I am going to have to live in my car, I may as well be comfortable!)

Sounds great, do you have any pictures?
And can you tell me more about removing the emission control? I want to do that on my 320i. Maybe some links to websites you have used?
