Suspension rebuild

Post by Reck »

Looking to rebuild my suspension (and incorporate a 40mm drop). I'm getting a few horrid clunking noises over bumps. I want to do this properly and all in one go.. Can anyone give me a list of bits? Mainly looking for a list of all bushes that will ensure longevity.

Also, can I buy any 40mm drop springs off ebay and put in with oem shocks? Is there anything between the different brands?

Many thanks :)

superflex do a complete set.

i run them and they are pretty cool, you need to measure your front and rear anti rollbar thickness before you order.

heres a link...

oh yeah, forgot - dont buy the offset camber rear trailing arm bushes - they are always guaranteed to slip at one point and will annoy the hell out of you.

Your best off calling them and requesting a complete set

Thanks man.

Is there anything else that would be good to replace at the same time?

Call Superflex and ask if they'll do a bit of e21 forum discount? You might get a pleasant surprise! ;)

Nice, I'm gonna ring in a few minutes.

Should I ge the rear trailing arm bushes from the dealer then? Also, do I need any special tools to press out the old bushes?
