Thought I should show you my new daily:

Won it on Ebay for the princely sum of £990.
It has a Manual gearbox and an LSD
Has on board computer and Aircon as well.
only covered 104k miles

The downside is it was a Cat D write-off in 1998. But since then it had a full body respray in 2005/2006 for which I have the reciept for over £3k detailing the work carried out.
Also needs a small bit of welding doing on the sills (Its in the bodyshop now getting done).

Seems to drive really nicely, quiet, comfortable and quite quick.
Got it on classic insurance as well for £216 8)

Looks nice that one matey, from bitter experience I know that getting the sills welded immediately and paying whatever it costs is the way to go. If i'd paid £400 to get my 635 welded up two and a half years ago I'd still have a usable classic rather than having offloaded it for feck all after trying to fix it myself/cheap.

Hope yours is better than mine was!

Jim

All the welding will be finished by tomorrow, Only the rear of the drivers sill and a bit of the floor by the jacking point. Not too bad.

I've bought some new wheels to get rid of the metric set (watchout on ebay soon  )
BMW Style 32's from an E39 (got some spigot rings for the centre bore difference).
3 off 8x17's
2 off 9x17's
8)

Currently having some tyres fitted:
225/45/17 for the front and spare
235/45/17 for the rear

When the cars back and the tyres are on I'll take some more pic's of the car over the weekend.

Wheels
Maybe lower and stiffen the suspension
Better stereo system
maybe a stainless exhaust keeping the twin outlet look.

Got some shiny bits delivered on Friday. Spent the weekend removing the old sytem and manifold and changing the prop centre bearing and donut.
