I've an 82 323i, the silver over Grey "Limited Edition" or so I'm told. Where can I get details, pictures and general info on what exactly it was and how it came to the forecourts?

hey mate,
what youre after is a Vehicle Specification Enquiry. Funnily enough I've also got a 2 tone grey Limited Edition 323i and when I bought it 12years ago I managed to get this document from Bmw. Just provide your chassis or reg no. These models were stated as :870 SPECIAL EDITION. Also listed are the seat material and colour code and engine of the car, shown as:
Model : 1832 323i
Colour: 610 Graphite/ Ascot
Upholstery : 0091 Anthracite cloth
So ask your local Bmw garage, they should give it.

Go on the BMW mobile tradition web site down load the form send it back with a copy of the v5 (not sure what it is called in the south) and 50euro and you get a official certificate with the full build spec of your car

Wow, thats more than the answer I'd hoped for. Result!
It looks as though its a Type S I have as my main project and then the other is a Type E.
Did these models come with LSD?
