Last night after seeing that damn advert all the time over Christmas I thought, "I wonder what they will give me for 'The Bride' E21?" Just for a laugh.
132000+ miles, 13 previous owners, most of the service history, leccy windows, leather, CD player, alloys, yadda yadda.
What did they offer me? £50 Image Image Image
OK I had to lie about the year as they only go back as far as 1985 (Marty McFly!?!).The Rover (1995) didn't fare any better, in case you're wondering. Oh well, it put a smile on my face.
Let's flog all of our E21s on there and have a booze-up down the pub. A small one...

NB for our overseas viewers; webuyanycar.com is a UK website that will give you a price (a lousy one) on your car if you want to sell it quick. No doubt there are similar companies in every country.

If you get £50 you've done well IMHO. I've never had the good fortune of dealing with them, but the price they offer is according to their "high" standards and they'll start chipping it down if the cars basically isn't concours. Knowing their reputation, they could very well ask you £50 for taking it off their hands - result!
I know it was just an exercise on your part. I wonder if they'd use their discretion in the end and recognise it as a practical classic and give you a more sensible price. Or they'd be serious about offering £50 and then sell it for a few grand or just sell it for scrap value? Interesting...

You will now receive regular irritating emails from them.

That's why I have a 'dustbin' email address to keep all this kind of stuff away from my proper emails addresses.
