I must say I'm not a 1-series fanatic. These cars drive very good, especially the 130i or the 153i coupé, but I still don't like it's looks. But when I saw BMW's press photos of the M... that looked a lot more mature! Now my buddy Steve (my parner in crime for the 2010 Le Mans Classic) happened to trip over one of BMW's promo cars, one week before its official intro. Nice scoop and a beautiful car!

Not bad for a modern BMW; shame the 1er looks so dumpy; perhaps some rich bloke can body drop an E21 body on?
Lets see if the owners can tell which are the driven wheels...

It's the beginning of the end when they start with crap like that. I thought that's what ''m-tec'' was for?

As the 1 series uses the same suspension as the e90 I fancy an 3 door with a e39 s62 and e90 m3 supension as a daily sleeper, but my mate is building 1 series rally car and the CAN bus between all the electroncis might be an issue.
