e21 fuel pump

hello

i've now decideded to build my 2.7 engine with the motronic system off a 325is. since my car is originally a 320/6 the fuel pump seems to be non existent or part of the carb. although i have managed to salvage what looks to be a fuel pump, accumulator and filter from my other 323i although it looks to be pretty shot when i connect it up to a battery charger it makes a noise but submerse it in petrol and it does nothing. i think you can buy a replacement pump from a motor factors or ebay but im not sure on the accumulator part or even how to test it or what exactly it does. i'd imagine the filter is still available from a motor factors it looks like i'm going to have to make a new bracket to hold it all together as mine is rotten

anybody any thoughts or experience in replacing this setup.

thanks

Willy

Murran uses an in tank fuel pump from an e30 in his car, apparently it fits straight into the hole no problem.

Should be able to flow enough for a 2.7.

Aftermarket walbro in a e30 318is fuel pump/sender cradle is the easy way forward
