It's been quiet for a while, but we haven't been sleeping! The Sharknose Meeting team has joined forces with the Dutch BMW Coupé Club and together we will ensure the 2011 Sharknose Meeting will be a giant leap forward, bigger and better than last years' success!

An event not to be missed so update all calendars and block June 11!

Location will be in the heart of Holland and the website will be on line again shortly. We will let you know right here when you can register.

Update March 17, 2011:

As you might have noticed, preparations for THE BMW event of the year are full speed ahead... Sharknose Meeting 2011 is coming up and entry remains all free! We have just put the website back online again and there you will find everything you want to know about activities, the location and of course the photos of last years' success! And we'll be taking that success even further this year, together with the Dutch BMW Coupé Club. So make sure to be there on Saturday June 11, 2011 in Apeldoorn (Netherlands) and register now on our website http://www.sharknosemeeting.com !

What can you expect? Hundreds and hundreds of classic and youngtimer BMW's, a sales plaza, a huge BMW parts market, show 'n shine contest, car detailing and a wonderful BBQ to finish the day. But keep checking back as there's more to come!

Businesses can become a sponsor at a fair rate and for a mere 50 Euros you can rent a large market stall for the day. Don't hesitate to send us a message for more info!

Make sure to copy our flyer below to every possible BMW related forum and help us out making this event another huge success. See you on June 11!

im coming, just looking at ferry prices.

I have some questions, some of them maybe obvious?!

Just wondering is this a show type show or a simple meet type thing?
Will there camping facilities / or somewhere close where we can pitch up / cheapish hotel?
Where exactly in Holland are we talking?
Are there any "cafes" nearby (lol not essential but handy to know!)

Can't give all details yet but it's supposed to be close to the city of Apeldoorn so you can check distances. City... so there's something to do, we plan to have a BBQ that night and we will look into hotels and campings at a later stage. What's going to happen: it might turn out to be the largest classic and youngtimer BMW event worldwide with show 'n shine competition, meet and an unbelievable heap of NOS for sale, and all of our own trunk sale stuff of course.

Not expecting to go for a drive that day but if there's enough interest we might do something on Sun perhaps like go to the aviation museum and have a flight in a DC3 for those interested, or even visit a driftday or something similar but that's all very premature for now. Largest get together should be enough and we'll make sure you'll be kept busy that day. Also working on getting some real special sharks there.

ok no worries, I dont know if i can do the other stuff on the sunday - although dont mind a nice drive if its on the way back to the ferry europoort as I will need to be getting back to the UK.

looking forward to a nice long road trip and to meet the euro guys, please keep us updated.

We will definitely keep you posted but I can guarantee you it will be fun and worth while. Much better than last year and that was already great fun, ask Aydin about it!

This year I'm going to be there for sure.

Actually no, Definite date is the 11th of june. It will be in Apeldoorn, near the M1 highway.
We as organisation need to look at the place it selves en settle some details. You will hear asap, probabely aprox 20 february. Then we have all the details.
We will try to organize some arrangements to sleep - Hotel or Camping.

I think it's the best to wait to book until the 20th Febr!
I really do not think that there will be any changes, but to be sure..
I hope you'll have some patience, it will be worth!!

I think if you book the ferry more sooner it is more cheaper you see. No worries though I understand that orgnaising such a thing is a big mission.

I would like to help in some way..

Any other UK guys going? Please put your name down so that maybe we can all meet in one place here and drive over there together? If i can get an idea of how many, pending on what 323baur / Jeroan say is happening, I can start organising accomadation for our group too or see if I can get a discount for the ferry?

Hi Nas, when i booked last year it cost £15 each way but all the same your right i think we should start to make a name list of defo going, also what day would we leave the UK then return. Maybe we could leave on friday & do a detour via the Nurburgring during the day amsterdam at night then a nice early start for the 30/40 km trip to apeldorn.
