i have a 320i that's been converted to carbie. i have the option of getting a k jetronic kit for cheap from a wreck. the car is somewhat sluggish and underpowered with the carb so i was wondering whether converting it back was a good idea. it still has the original fuel pump and filter also. any help would be appreciated, cheers.

If you want injection you might be better off with Motronic?

yeah i heard this was a good idea, it's just that i can't really afford to buy a motronic kit at the moment, so i was just wondering if it would be worth putting the jetronic kit on sort of temporarily (as i can get it for next to nothing) until i can afford the motronic. what do you reckon?

You should be able to fit all the K jetronic bits in one day time, so why not give it a try? The only thing you need to consider is the condition of K jetronic you've been offered, if it's not in good condidtion you will spend ages tring to adjust it.

If it's free why not?
I actually drove an auto 320 with injection and it was a lovely, smooth drive.
