Hi, i have a 5 speed gearbox from a 1982 318 e21, will this fit into a bmw 2002 2l m10 engine, thanks in advance.

yes but you need to shorten the 02 prop

Thanks Jason, and will any m10 4 speed gearbox bolt straight backin the e21 or will i have to change the prop as well?

You'll need to make sure you have right prop flanges. Also need to make room in 02 tunnel for slave cylinder.

Yes ,have just read about prop flanges on gearbox sticky, will i still need to make room in 02 tunnel even if its a auto car,
aren't the auto tunnels bigger?
Will any e21 4 speed box bolt straight in to the e21 where the 5 speed came out? hope this makes sense

Unsure about tunnel size? Autos are often larger but you can make the dent you need to clear slave with a lump hammer. Any 4 speed should be fine.
