Not E21 but I'm in the process of completing the photo reports on 2014 events. Finished the one on Schloss Dyck last week, now I added the BMW photos to the 2014 Le Mans Classic report.

I do it like this, F12-16 (depends on the weather), 1/40 - 1/60 second time, iso 200...then just follow the speed of the car and press the triggerJeroen wrote:Thanks! Need a bit of luck for that as well!
check here, my panning training day in 2012, speeds were 100+ km/h on release

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Nice! The shutter speed also very much depends on the speed and motion direction of the vehicle, from the side under a 90 degree angle is easiest, the smaller the Angle gets the harder it becomes and sharpness from front to rear becomes limited as the relative speed is different. Always nice challenges!
I'm no a great fan of panning shots btw, very slow shutter speeds make the object (usually a car) stand out and add speed, but they also completely destroy the atmosphere and surroundings. That's why I like frontal shots at abt 10-20 degrees better. But this one was nice as well and retained the atmosphere but then you need a slightly faster shutter speed (think this was at 1/100th)

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
I found myself having a deep meaningful conversation with my e21 today. It went along the lines, of gratitude for all its done for me and taught me etc. then I told it to behave itself for the new owner and generally just carry on being a great car. if anyone saw or heard this convo they would think im missing a few tiles from the roof.

lol well you sure bond with your car in some way. I always give my car a pad after taking me home safely with a trouble free week of fun and misbehavior behind us for example.... thanks for a great time mate, and I guess it's no different in this case!

Parked the 323i up and put it under the cover. Unlike a lot of places, here in Perth, I park mine up for the Summer because it is too damn hot to drive without an aircon. I'll get her back out in Autumn when it cools off a bit.

Watched Adrenalin completely today including all the extra's and I loved every minute of it! A must have! One thing though... why not a single word about Le Mans and the V12 LMR victory? Anyway, watch the preview and order your copy on below website.

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
I got my Baur out of the garage yesterday and drove to work in it today. Very floaty and imprecise steering compared to my Audi but fun! Decided I need some polyurethane bushes, new front shocks and the exhaust seems to be blowing a bit but sounds great so I'll leave it alone for now.
