Hello guys,

Been away for a while, but did a lot of progress, car is fully painted in new color and now playing Lego while assembling :)

Q: mine is 315, no tacho as we all know. Recently bought original tacho from e21 318, and want to install it correctly. At the back there are two wire + and - as I understand, and another connector has three - black, violet and braun. I suppose they go to engine somewhere, does some one know where to connect those three wires?

Thank you!

on the back of a late e21 tach you should find a two pin socket for the power for the clock .a socket shaped like a strawberry which connects to the time adjuster button which sits under the clocks at the side of the steering column and a three pin socket which runs the tach...a tacho from a early car only has three pins on the back for the same connector which should only fit one way...edd..

first and third pin are positive and negative.
the middle one is impulse from ignition coil.

but I'm not 100% sure!
