Can anyone recommend who offers the best prices for classic car insurance in the uk.(for my e30 not the e21)...edd..

I got two quotes from lancaster insurance today for my e30 316i ...£150 with £500 excess and another quote from them for £182 with £50 excess ....I think they will be getting my money when the e30 has been tested...edd

I'm with performance direct. All mods declared and still 200 a year. I love my insurance company as much as my e21 tbh. I've never had to claim though.

Heritage have been good to me in the past. I'm now on trade insurance and my world is bliss! As many cars as I want, no need to tell them about modifications which is VERY handy! Since getting it in November I've bought at least 3 cars and picking up another this week, Murran's old touring...

Norton Heritage insured me today for £600. Pretty incredible price - even Lancaster wanted £1300!! Most other quotes I had were around £1000~

I might give heritage a call before going with lancaster's £150.. but i can't see them beating it...edd..

Lancaster for sure - £130 for my 320!!

Who did you get your trader policy from Rob? Was it expensive?

Dont you have to proof that you are a trader.

Just had to re-insure my cars after Lancaster premiums went up massively. I ended up with Chaucer via Norton Insurance Brokers. MIB was £127 (agreed value £7.5k & 5000 miles p.a, the TWR was £54 (lay-up policy with agreed value of £15k) and e28 525i was £111 (1500 miles p.a) All 3 were less than Lancaster wanted just to insure MIB.
