I pulled the screen out of my Baur the other day as it was cracked, good condition surround which was a nice surprise (I was dreading what I would find in there so much that I went and chucked the glass in the skip outside before I even looked at the surround!).

So I need a new screen.

I got a brand new screen for the slug from a windscreen guy I know for about £130.

Clear screens at W&N are 102 Euros plus 58 euros to deliver up to 3 screens.

So buying more than one would mean that the screen costs less than the one the windscreen man got me. I will be speaking to him next week to see about the price of another.

Is anyone else in need of a new screen? I can get them delivered to me and you can collect from here. Might not work unless I go around Manchester and Yorkshire smashing people's windscreens, but worth asking.

Issue would be Me North you South but something could be arranged. Wouldn't want to start posting the things though!

i need a new screen but
a) its still passing mots as it is with the crack being across where the wipers park.
b) ive got no money.
c) its the original screen, so im reluctant as all the windows are the orginal too.

I hope you don't use that phone of yours when you're on-call too Jim. This has to be the third time I've left you a message re: picking up the fuel tanks and possibly ordering a new windscreen with no reply!

I'm at work at the moment, virtually no vodafone signal in here (hospital uses Orange so orange masts on site but voda down the road) my office is a building built in a courtyard in the middle of a big steel framed building which is very good at blocking electromagnetic radiation.

Not had any voicemail messages from you, mind you I hate picking up voicemail so I'd rather people just sent me a text.

I have tanks in the boot of the car so I'll ring you when I am leaving work.

For info W&N have the chrome filler strip on offer this week as well.

actually i think around the windscreen is the most solid bit on the car! esp it being an original screen, no window fitting coont has been scratching the paint around it causing it to rust...

Cool. I ordered some new ones and chucked away the perfectly good ones. Didn't think anyone would want them

These screens from w/n only come in clear? I think mine is brown tint.

clear are cheaper. They have green tint definitely, not sure about brown.

Check their website.

oh and d) mines a brown tint and i like it.

W&N tell me brown is NLA. I'm going to have a look at the other glass from the Baur tomorrow and see what colour screen would be best.
