E21 323i adapter for installing E36 M3 throttle bodies

Is somebody intrested of buying an adapter intake manifold which makes it possible to install E36 M3 throttlebodies to E21 323i engine? I'm currently making one for my engine and there is a possibility to make more of these. The adapter is fully CNC machined from aluminium. And because of E36 M3 throttlebodies, the thermostat cover also have to be made and that is also included. Adapter is also very easy to fit for E30 320i/325i, only thing you have to do is match the adapter inlet to your head inlet by sanding or grinding.

Why? If you wan't to install throttlebodies in your E21 323i, the easies way is to buy them from for example http://www.dbilas-dynamic.de/, but that will cost you over 2000 euros

Solution: design and manufacture your own like I did.

Price will be around 500 euros (+shipping) for the intake manifold adapter and the thermostat cover.

As you may know, after this modification you have to install some adjustable aftermarket ECU.

Done this in the past and my opinion is e36 throttle bodies are why to big for an m20 unless it is making over 260bhp
I would be more interested in a m52 adaptor

ITB's just don't seem to give enough bang for the bucks on an M20. When you consider the build costs of a decent 2.7 adding ITB's is another grand minimum on top and for that sort of money it seems to me there are a whole heap of better alternatives.

How much are you willing to afford for billet M50 adapter?

The m50 adapter looks good in that link but as its still utilising the stock maf I think it would be better if it didn't! But then you would be needing some better cams n aftermarket ecu to take full advantage. Wouldn't it be cheaper getting the m3 engine by the time you done all that?

The advantage would be that using an m52 you could go for a 260bhp plus engine that wieght the same as an m20, the s50 is about the same as an m30 and the m52 is still about 40kgs more than a m20

Also an M50/M52 is a much cheaper engine to replace if things went wrong, this is one of the reasons why I'm thinking M50 turbo over an S50.

I'm bored of the m50 now, I'm going to use a 2.8 m52 with the m50 intake, and m3 cams end of the summer. An easy 200 whp.

Should only take a me weekend as all the rest is done.

No rush tho. I'm still enjoying the m20 tbh. It goes with the character of the car. :thumbsup

I'm defo doing M50 turbo somewhere in the future. Holset turbo, megasquirt, custom exhaust manifold, MLS head gasket + arp studs, intercooler. Literally more power than I'll ever need... An M52 would be good for lightness though.
