In the meantime, I have ordered new panels and plan to have the jacking points and door skins resprayed etc. I need to get rid of the rust! I have the single lamp conversion ready but i broke one of the lamps and have ordered replacements. Then coilovers? But not sure what to buy?

Woah, those wheels are reet blingers. Bet there going for a fair old whack ?? Think people go for Gaz coilovers usually

They are 50 cent specials but available in silver also and approx £350 (apparently) without rubbers. I guess Gaz will have to be the way forward. I need to go and sell my butt though! can't say I would get much for doing that! LOL

Gaz do a street version of their coilovers which are a bit cheaper than Golds but perfect for your needs. www,raceperformancemodified.com

There are a few people looking to buy coilovers so might be worth seeing if a ''group buy'' is a possibility?

Hi mate, the car was garaged for 13 years of its life (until I bought it! ) As for the rims, I use chrome polish and a regular buffing keeps them shining!

That is looking good, can't get enough of these at the moment!

Thanks for the input guys! I am planning to restore the body work first, getting rid of the rust and general maintenance (reverse switch and fit a nice e21 motorsport steering wheel) As for the wheels, I will keep them on and will probably have them refurbed at some point. I won't change the springs yet as I am considering air ride but need to do some research first (and hide the receipts from my girlfriend! LOL So far she thinks I have spent a monkey on it but that is not the case as you guys know!

Raseeda if you go to the Wheel Whores website there should be more details- I did ring the guy selling them but no answer. I think he does different colours etc. I had a quick look and he is not advertising them anymore.

No I became too snappy when I had it advertised and thought it would be better to keep it! I went with Darren from the forum to a welder for an assessment and boy does it need some work!
