I was thinking of having a summer BBQ at my unit, seems like a good way to get everyone together for a bit of fun, music, car bodgery, fun and drinks.

As a few of you will know who've been up my unit has a big yard that we can squeeze quite a few motors on and the road outside is always empty so plenty of street parking as well so shouldn't run out of room (although it would be fun to see if we could)

I will buy a BBQ or two and the coals, paper plates, cups, etc but if everyone could bring drinks and food that would be great - people have different tastes so would be impossible (or very expensive at least) for me to cater to everyone’s tastes and requirements.

I've also invited the NW-BMW lot as they are local as well as the Retro Rides lot so i'd like a good turnout although i understand quite a few people will be away so we shall see.

The unit is in waterfoot, but i don't want to publicise where it is on a public forum so give me a call or send me a txt nearer the time. If you've no idea where waterfoot is, stick it into google maps, my unit isn't more than a mile from the centre.

Murran i was thinking of doing it on Saturday 30th April. And waterfoot is in Rossendale, it's up north but not that far up north

I've not actually met any of you guys (and your cars!) but would definitely like to come along if that's cool. I guess drjim will be going since he's around manchester too. Thanks a lot for the invite.

I am at a wedding that day so won't be coming. Will be doing a similar thing at my unit on 29th for Baur rebuild day 2, so you're welcome to pop down - not far from you. Be nice to see my old car again.

I don't suppose you were travelling up the M66 yesterday at around 7-8pm were you? I spotted a silver E21 hazards on driving up the 66 with an RAC van not far behind it. I was 90% committed to coming off at B&Q and heading back up till i spotted the RAC. Its the first time i've seen an E21 on the road just driving about.

Anyone is welcome along, the more the merrier, if you've got kids bring the family with you (i try and make it as kid friendly as possible) I just want to see some old motors, have a beer, eat some grilled food and talk cars and stuff. Its been too long since i did anything like that.

Silver and on the road must be Arshad, but a bit out of his normal stomping ground!

Ha not me this time, although I have called the AA out recently with pesky alarm issues. My cars behaving itself and I have enjoyed driving it to work and back immensely these last few sunny days.

I wish I had turned around, I was well excited to see another E21 on the road!

That's actually quite sweet Jacko. I see you're in Rossendale. A couple more things to do before my little Beamer becomes my daily driver. The company I work for has an office in Preston, so you might see a silver E21 on the M62 regularly sooner than you think!
