I happened to come across these images and wondered if anybody could shed some light on this model. Were these factory models?

I've also found two very obscure black and white pictures of a hatchback version.

There were a few custom built convertibles made.

The light blue German registered one looks like it has E30 side windows fitted. You won't do that mod in a morning

The conversion company is called Peters cabrio i think. They made the full cabrio E21. There is a huge metal contstruction made under the car to keep the strenght of the body.

I believe if you search the forum there is a topic about a restoration of such a car.

There was also a restoration project offered for sale a few months back.
